Evolution mining: Health it’s your business
ASH: ‘Hi, I’m Ash. An exercise physiologist and I help run the health and wellbeing program at Evolution Mount
The health and wellbeing program came about as a result of the recognition that the worksite health can be improved.
And also a growing body of evidence that shows that improved worksite health also improves work outcomes, not only at work but also within the community and also in families.’

ASH: ‘Within our program we understand that one on one contact is an important thing, because health programs should be individualised. So, every single employee has access to one on one consultation with health professionals.
We also understand that not everything can be done one on one so we do a lot of group stuff. We do hydration education, food education and we also do fatigue management education. As well as running a number of programs that help improve physical ability outcomes including our ‘Hydra Walk’ program.
We also try and help improve health in the areas of weight-loss.
We’re currently running what we refer to as our ‘gutless club’ which is a weight loss challenge on-site.
We’ll continue to improve our health and wellbeing program because we understand that happier and healthier people produce better outcomes in the workplace and also at home.’
