Staff at our Chinchilla office are actively involved in group exercises (swimming, riding bicycles, walking to/from work) as a result of our healthier happier workplaces program. We now conduct pre-work stretches as part of the daily prestart meeting at our Chinchilla office. This was implemented to assist our workers to \"switch on\" at the start of the shift, and includes stretches to reduce injury to both field and office staff. A side effect of this initiative was that some staff recognised their lack of flexibility and balance, and have started to exercise after work to improve their fitness. As a group, we have discussed mental health and the advantages of leading an active and healthy lifestyle to assist with managing and reducing mental health issues. It is important in our industry as a \"drive in/drive out\" workforce doing 14 day on/7 day off rosters to recognise mental health as an illness that affects many of our workers.
