Step 1. Management commitment

Your workplace has formal support from all levels of management to build and maintain a successful wellness program. You have a wellness statement or policy that is on display in the workplace.

All your employees have a copy of the document.

Examples

  • Small workplaces—you have a wellness statement, no longer than a paragraph, outlining the value your organisation places on employee health and wellbeing.
  • Medium sized and large workplaces—your workplace has developed a detailed wellness policy. The policy has signed approval by your Chief Executive Officer, Human Resource Manager and wellness committee. The policy is part of your employee induction process.
